A strong earthquake of magnitude 6.3 shook the island of Taiwan

 

A strong earthquake of magnitude 6.3, in addition to numerous aftershocks, shook Taiwan; the strongest tremor had its epicenter in Hualien, in the east of the island, according to the Central Meteorological Agency, and the video of the moment was broadcast on social networks.

Occurred at 17:08. The tremor was felt in the capital, Taipei. Shortly after this tremor, a series of aftershocks followed and, according to AFP reporters, the strongest movements occurred at around 02:30 hours.
